Educational Qualification
The candidate should have passed 10th class examination from a recognized Board of school Education before the last date for submission of application form.
Qualification for SPO (Special Police Officer) – 8th Class Examinations Passed
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Driving and possession of Light Motor Vehicle Driving License with (Trans).
- One year certificate course in Computer Application from an AICTE recognized Institution
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2021)
- Minimum – 18 years
- Maximum – 28 years
(For SPOs Upper Age Limit Shall be 37 years)
Age Criteria – The candidates born before 01.01.1993 and after 31.12.2002 shall not be eligible.

Physical Standards
- Height Male – Minimum 162 cms
- Height Female – Minimum 152 cms
Chest (Male candidates only)
- Un-expanded – 81 cms
- Expanded – 85 cms
Physical Endurance Test (50 marks)
Physical Endurance Test shall be taken only of those candidates who qualify the physical measurement tests.
Running (Male) – 16 Meters in 7 minutes and 30 seconds
- Up to 5 min 30 seconds – 25 marks
- 5 min 31 seconds to 6 min – 23 marks
- 6 min 1 second to 6 min 30 seconds – 21 marks
- 6 min 31 seconds to 7 min 0 seconds – 19 marks
- 7 min 1 second to 7 min 30 seconds – 17 marks
- 7 min 31 seconds and above – Disqualified
Running Female Candidates – 1000 Meters in 7 minutes 30 seconds
- Up to 5 min 30 seconds – 25 marks
- 5 min 31 seconds to 6 min – 23 marks
- 6 min 1 second to 6 min 30 seconds – 21 marks
- 6 min 31 seconds to 7 min 0 seconds – 19 marks
- 7 min 1 second to 7 min 30 seconds – 17 marks
- 7 min 31 seconds and above – Disqualified
Written Examination (Objective Type) – 100 Marks
All candidates who have qualified the physical measurement test and who’s documents / testimonials have been scrutinized and found correct shall be put through a written examination which shall be of 80 minutes duration. The written exam will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions and each question carrying 1 mark. There will be no negative marking. The question paper for written exam will be in English only. The question paper shall be of Matriculation level.

- Reasoning – 15 Marks
- General Science – 10 Marks
- Arithmetic Abilities – 15 Marks
- Total Marks – 100

- Time Duration – 80 Minutes
